Don’t miss And So Say All of Us

assaou_cast_2Disaster at a 25 Wedding Anniversary Celebration. You would never want to be at a celebration like this one.

BATS Theatre Company Inc. is currently presenting the hilarious comedy “And So Say All Of Us”, written by Ian Austin and directed by John McMahon.

Now playing at the Buderim War Memorial Hall, corner of Church St and Main St, Buderim

and_so_say_all_of_us_livethtr

cast_and_so_say_all_of_usA simple 25th wedding anniversary becomes a riotous disaster with high society hi-jinks, low life double crosses, mistaken identities, old affairs resurfacing, new affairs foundering – AND PIGS.

This is a fast paced, very funny comedy with the action taking place on the back patio at the home of Harry and Dolly Doncaster as they prepare to celebrate 25 years of marriage. This production has a smattering of lovable Australian characters with which you could easily identify — but not at this so-called celebration.

ian_austinIan Austin has over the years a close association with the BATS Theatre Company as performer (including “Noises Off”), director (“Pippin”), and as a playwright. He wrote “Sex …and Other Frustrations” which premiered at BATS Theatre Company in 1985. Austin recalls the present production as:

assaou_cast_1“Then came the jackpot on March 27, 1992: my totally outrageous comedy, And So Say All of Us. There was one written audience reaction: “I laughed so much my jaws are still aching!” Happily, the comedy has since enjoyed many productions around Australia. I am grateful to John McMahon and BATS for reviving the play for a new generation of theatregoers … and for all those who remember”.

assaou_cast_3As a Senior Citizen, Ian Austin is still writing Monday to Sunday, 5 am – 8 pm unless a Broncos or Townsville Cowboys game is on the telly. Currently he has three new novels with Australian and International publishers awaiting their decisions.

Join this all Australian “celebration” and laugh your head off. Bring your friends for one hell of a night out. The play is on again this Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30pm, and also Saturday afternoon at 2:00pm. Book online, or call Bernadette on 5445 2515.
