Hi all, as many of you are probably now aware, the Government and health authorities have increased restrictions on public gatherings. As a consequence and in view of increasing concerns in relation to health and safety of the vulnerable in our community we will have to postpone the production.
We are committed to bringing this wonderful production to audiences. Ticket sales showed an incredible engagement by the local community and prior to COVID-19 concerns we were on track to sell out the season. We have been inspired by the dedication and positivity of cast and crew as we have navigated the challenges, collaboratively and optimistically.
Thank you to the on-going support of the BWMCA, affiliate groups and the local community. Let’s keep that positivity and collaborative support going.
Tickets are being refunded but we encourage everyone to re book once the season is relaunched later in the year. Community theatres and artists are going through very challenging times and continued support of patrons is vital for our future.
We believe we have created something very unique and special for the community and though we have a hiatus for a time, we will come back, with a combined energy and determination to entertain and engage the public.
This time of enforced isolation measures and containment serves to protect the vulnerable in our community. Our combined thoughts are with them and their loved ones.
We will get through this together. Once we are through these difficult times, we will need to have opportunities for people to be entertained and re-connected to community and each other.
BATS and many other community theatres will be back, to bring top notch entertainment to our healing community.
Look after each other and try and stay positive. Bats will be providing online connection via website and FB. Let’s stay in touch till we meet again 🙂
